oh life

figures life throws the most awkward situations at the most awkward people, mainly for entertainment purpose i suppose, seeing as that we don't know how to deal with these sort of things.

• woke up at 3:30 one morning to a drunk driver hitting my pillar and totalling his car. turns out one of my good friends from grade 8-9 was one of the drunk drivers hitting it.
• the boy in the car with him was another one of my good friends, ironically he lives three houses down from me, but i found that out a couple days ago.
• here's the best part! the friend of my friend that is going to help lay the brick down on the pillars is one of the guys i used to see ROOMMATE. yeah, answering the door to that was really great.

woke up today around 6 and met up with althea at 7 in starbucks, it was really nice to start off my day early and to be able to catch up with an old friend. it's been so long since i've seen her, and we had a chance to rummage through some of the black friday sales before she had to head off to work. however, having a job means i have to learn how to budget my money properly again, and it's damn hard.

work was pretty frustrating today- "can i get a skinny vanilla latte extra hot steamed at 187 degrees extra foam" of course you can, however it took every waking bit of conscience i have left after working there for almost an entire shift to not hand you back your change and point to the starbucks across the street.

after work i made myself a vanilla soy chai tea latte (so comforting and yummy) and walked over to indigo. i finally managed to get ahold of  'the power of now' by eckhart tolle. i've been told by several people to give this book a try, but whenever i try to get a hold of it they're out of stock. so i finally snagged it.

my eyes are droopy, and talula is harrassing me for cuddles.
